:: Grammar Attack ::

I've been a grammar freak all my life, questioning every single goddamn grammar, especially those pertaining British English (as in NOBLE and GOOD English) vs American English (of which I regard to be more "thrashy" and informal). Not to offend anyone, it's just ironic and funny that we Malaysians actually practice writing British-English, yet speaking American-English.

It all started with the all famous Centre vs Center. Dudes, why do you guys have to make English so difficult anyway? Bloody hell, in Malaysia, we also have our respective "slangs" when talking in Bahasa u know, but not to the extent of having different spellings and meanings! God damn it.

Ok, here's the deal.

I've been studying English all my life, of course everyone else too. The thing that irritates me currently is this:

Till vs. Til vs. Until

Oh, I browsed through few sites, including dictionary.reference.com....Apparently all the sites i've visited are of American's. OKAY~.

I've attended this Advanced English course 2 years ago, and also a few other Grammar and English courses throughout my life (yes, u can see what an insecure freak I am when it comes to getting it right in English, yet, I still do not sound as great as Shakespeare). In the course, they said people have mistakenly used Till and Until interchangeably. WHY?.

Ok. Til, actually with an aposthrophe; 'Til is an informal, shortform of the word Until. Ok, acceptable. Apparently 'Til has been used by advertising media blablabla just to create that "trend" or ""coolness" of English. Ok, whatever.

Then comes Till. According to the American sites i've visited, Till has been around for like freaking 800 years already and not until later that they came out with the word Until, to describe "up to". What i've learnt in the classes i went is that, we shouldn't get confused between Till and Until. Why?...They say, we should always practice PROPER English, because that's what English is all about. A proper language with great manners. Here's what I've learnt.

Till is the bloody squarish compartment that is situated at the bottom of a bloody Cash Register. What does it do? It bloody pops out upon keyed-in transactions. In English (proper, that is) Till means specifically that, nothing more.

Therefore if one were to use Until, they should opt for the whole word for proper, mannerly speaking (regardless verbally or written) to describe "up to", and could use 'Til when speaking informally.

I think PROPER English makes more sense, don't u think?

What is the happened to our England?! Hah!

--> see, i even colour-coded them for ease of comparison. how considerate. :P

p/s: this entry is open for creative discussions. i like opinions! :)

:: Melbourne, Revisited ::

Boarded a flight to my great city of memories, Melbourne on July 12th, 2008 with Mommy dearest. At first I thought it was just gonna be mom and I, but turns out that Papa, adeq n Elly also went. The former, of course came along to celebrate MY day, but the two latter(s) came along for a relatively short holiday.

My convocation fell on July 15th, 6.30pm at Camberwell Centre, surrounded by houses, small shops and a small church. The place was just pleasing. The ceremony went so smoothly, despite the fact that none of us graduands were called for any rehearsal prior to the event. They are, I salute, the total experts.

I cried to tears when I found out that Papa was gonna come for the ceremony, purely because I gave away the tickets to Mommy, and my two dear friends, Sally and Claudia. Papa came to my surprise...From far, I could see him smiling...The same smile I saw when I held my Bachelor's scroll back in 2006. The smile filled with joy, pride and fulfillment. I couldn't help but to beg the ticket collectors to let me purchase just ONE additional ticket for my loving father...and so they decided to gave it to me for FREE. I couldn't wait to share my joy that I ran through the crowd, eagerly trying to find Papa, ignoring the fact that I had my robe on and tucked perfectly. As I got to Papa, I was in quite a mess...it didn't cross my mind even on how I looked like, because my heart was just pumping with excitement. Papa indeed, was VERY very happy.

And so, we set a "date" to meet in the hall, me and papa. I've never seen him that ecstatic in my life...he had such a pretty smile, and he held that smile from the minute he arrived til the last time I passed by him upon walking towards the stage. Papa didn't miss a single moment. NOT A SINGLE MOMENT. As I exit the hall with fellow achievers, all I could do was to scan through every corner of the lobby, trying to find Papa.I wasn't too worried about Mommy though, coz she had Sal and Claud sticking by her all the time. Then I felt my phone vibrating...text message from Papa, and 8 missed calls from daddy dearest. Apparently he called to tell me that he had left...and didn't want to "steal" me away from my mother and friends....In his text, he said the most wonderful, heartfelt words a daughter would ever long for.

"E'en, Papa dah balik. I am so proud of you. Every cent of my money, was all worth it. I did not regret spending so much for you because you've made Papa a very proud father. I love you and I miss you very much"

and the text goes on. I burst into tears. After that, it was just endless text messages and calls between me and Papa. The heartache we caused each other just recently, didn't matter at all. Our love and mutual understanding grew so much more than it was before....and i'm glad shit happened, because if it didn't, then I doubt things would turn out this way....

To all; my Papa, Mommy, Kak Tina, Kak Ija, and my dearest friends, thank you, for your endless support, especially when I was at the verge of giving up.

Not to forget Ewa, Eski and Amar. Thank you so much for letting me and mom stay over. Amar, thank you for the 5 star hospitality. We really really appreciate it.

Oh, gambar ni saje je letak. I cooked EVERYTHING ok! :)
It was sort of a "present" dinner for Amar coz he took us everywhere on getting stuff for the house and going around the city. Amar balik2 je "waaaaahhh! lapar, lapar" hahahahahha
Of course, after dinner, me and Amar had our share of Tim Tam. Mine's original, and his is caramel. Oh sedap. Mesti la i curik his sikit kaaann..mane bole elak caramel ok! :P

Dan semestinya, kalau dah sampai Melbourne, haruslah pit-stop at Max Brenner!
hehehehhe...Mommy and I are such chocolate freaks. aaaaaaa rindu!

Anyway, had tons of fun...
I LOVE MELBOURNE!

:: What's It Worth? ::

One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd."

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.

As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives." He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!" There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends. He said yes. We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!" He just laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, we began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship. Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak.

Graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him. Boy, sometimes I was jealous. Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!" He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. "Thanks," he said. As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began. "Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends. I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story." I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later>and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile. "Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told>us>all about his weakest moment. I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile.>Not until that moment did I realize it's depth. Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life. For better or for worse.

And so the saying goes,

"Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."

I know this story could've been one creative idea of a person; even so, it did make me hold back tears.

This story was e-mailed to me by dear friend Arief, dated 30th August 2006, just few weeks after my Bachelor's Degree convocation. My friends indeed played a huge part of my life, and I shall not let the sacrifices, efforts and everything there is to a friendship be forgotten. Thank you, Boe. :)

iPhone gempak?

hah...so much for bragging..eventhough this article has been a year old, i still feel it's good to know...i'm NOT a fan of Mac products. i don't have iPod, nor iPhone, nor Apple computers. you know why? coz i personally think it's a freakin waste of money. luxurious entertainment gadget.

ape gune beli handphone mahal2, memory card besar babi smue, pastu tak fully utilize?
lagi pon nak gune utk ape iPod smue ni? gi office utk buat KERJA, kalau bosan, internet ade, surf la, free lagi. nak dgr dlm train? lagu yg disumbat dlm memory card handphone pooon bole cover jauh perjalanan. nak dgr dlm plane? kat plane tu ade jukebox, movies, drama, radio channels. ape jadah?

technology is rapidly changing, everybody knows that. so why waste ur bloody money for these gadgets? kalau people yg have sumthing to do with graphic design etc tu faham la nape perlukan Apple. dah mmg Apple specially catered sbnarnye utk this profession. yg lain, perlu ke?

tak kooottt.....nak sgt kan beli iPod smue tu, beli Shuffle sudah, takde membazir duit.
ni la org malaysia. harga minyak ape smue naik, marah. nak beli gadgets yg tak semena2 bole plak keluar duit. mane tak org luar stereotype, sampai kate "Malaysians still live up on the trees", despite our "advanced technology, infrastructure, cyber-architecture" blablabla. mane taknye pon, smue yg gempak tu bukan dtg dari sel otak malaysians, byk dtg dari foreigners, pastu malaysians nak sombong bongkak. mane tak negara luar senang2 nak kasi malaysia ni huru-hara. in addition to that, kita ni tak habis2 ngan politics. org luar SENYUM bai, i repeat, SENYUM serupa Joker sbb tgk kita bergado same sendiri. pastu diorg pon suka la konon sokong this party la, that party la..diorg pikir jauh beb, buat mcm tu skit je, kelam-kabut manusia2 kat negara ni.

ha kan dah. from technology to politics. this is what Malaysians lack on; Systems Thinking. igt systems thinking ni within organizations and business operations je ke? blaja tinggi2, tapi...

ISH. grow up.

:: Irony ::

It's funny how ur lifetime bestfriend flips and started telling facts and fictions to others, just to satisfy his/her own insecurity and self-esteem.

And yet, u never question ur undying love and loyalty towards that person.
Not just because u've shared so much time and memories together, but adamantly on the trust and a lifetime iron-clad hope on having the person to "snap out of it" and realize the reality revolving around.

Broken relationships will never go back to the same state again. But what if the relationship and bond created was only "broken" by one party, while you did nothing to contribute to the chipped relationship? The one that broke the relationship did it on his/her own, and created a barrier him/herself out of own paranoia, subsequently blaming you, THE bestie, for the "fantasized-hurtful-agendas"? Who is it to blame then?

You've tried so hard to resolve things...even had heart-to-heart talks.
The "talk" somehow led ur bestie to open up and spill out dissatisfactions.
Things looked good after that.
But it turns out that, few days after, ur bestie started telling others that he/she did it just to satisfy YOU, and that the talk brought no significance to his/her life.
And yet, you, THE bestie, whom then found out about it, continues loving the person for whom he/she has been, is, and will be.

Is that love, or is that stupidity?.
I don't know. Coz someone told me that I was never good at judging love and loyalty.
So you tell me.

:: To Be, or Not To Be ::

I locked my eyes on a woman, suggesting that he/she is filled with hauteur, slamming heels on marbled cement with sounds howling around an empty hall. Everyone of us, of sound mind, i believe, will eventually dream of acting out the same attitude as we achieve our personal achievements. But most of us, will have that imagination running through our heads, even as we walk across dusty halls inhabited by roaches and mice. Ugly. Even so, these are humble thoughts, of which i regard as the most noble thing for humans to do; to stay average. Events that took place in my life got me miffed and utterly disappointed. Sometimes i wish i have not known, i have not had the eagerness to explore and question things, for staying darn oblivious and ignorant may just hell serve me well.

Things that don't break you will make u stronger. Really?
How about the things that break ur brains and nerves, literally? Wouldn't that person lose his/her sanity and strength then?

I should've done my Master's in Philosophy. Would've been even greater.
And maybe I should've just gone for my Math degree yonks ago. Double degree and master's maybe? Hmmm....where to find money then. PhD?....hmmm....At least when I get my PhD, i could put up a haughty manner and live up my fantasy world everywhere i go! aaaaaa sounds good. :)

:: Sedang Ingin Bercinta :) hik ::

To hubby, with love.

Sólo usted, puede hacer este cambio en mí

Por que es verdad, tú eres mi destino

So...here goes...

30th May marked my birthday...also my last day teaching at Limkokwing Executive Leadership College, tada! i've finally revealed where I worked! nyahahahha...
This year I turn 24, and i'm quite flattered with my birthday celebration.
Alia, Farah, Emmy and Farrah treated me for a cozy dinner at Bora Asmara...picture, wahai Farah and Alia, please forward it to me ya! They also bought me super sedap Brownie cake! yuummm...nasib je takde ice-cream, kalau tak mmg licin!...oh ya, our "neighbour" also celebrated his birthday, and so we exchanged cakes. His was Alexis' Pavlova...ya allah sangat sedap!!! hahahhaha takpe2, next birthday, Alexis pleaseeeeeeeee! :P

My students! aha my students! They were the sweetest angels! Thank you so much for the Secret Recipe cake, Mahesh and Pooja, my two-siblings-brainy students! hehehehe...It's as if they knew me too well, they bought me CHEESECAKEEEE!!! i loovveeeeeee!!! Note this Mahesh, I gobbled it down UNDER 3 minutes! hahahahha And not to forget, thanks to Temitayo and Abolanle (haa nama pelik2 naaaaa) for the presents! :) Erm, so Mahesh, once you've become rich and famous (which is not long, very very soon hehe), i demand Haagen-Dazs' ice cream cake! hehehehhe

And thank you to hubby, for splurging and pampering me with TGI Friday's hehehhe :)

So yeah, we were the JAKUNs, spent about hour and a half in there, mesmerized and fascinated by the "believe it or not" stuff! LOL! It was also a coincidence that Matt was there to celebrate his birthday with his beloved gf and soon-to-be in-laws :) Unfortunately, we had to rush off...Sorry Matt!

:: Mommy's Share of Fun ::

Mom attended her 4th College Malaya University alumni dinner recently at the Lake Gardens, KL. While typing this, I'm watching Mom and her band in action, singing one of my favourite rock songs, Have You Ever Seen the Rain, by CCR, and even my all-time favourite The Beatles' Obladi Oblada. Their dinner even made it to Malaysia's magazine ROTTW, hell, i couldn't believe it! hahahha...

Well, watching her and her ideal fun time with old friends made me ponder....
Will I ever have that same share of joy with my old colleagues, my high school, university, Aussie mates?....Tears roll down my cheeks as I reminisce of the good ol' times, discarding the heart-aching events that do not contribute to the best part of me.

My mom's band, despite of them aging 50 and above, were hell of good musicians.
They even had their group cheer can u believe that?!

I shall therefore cherish my past, the past friendships, eventhough some of them have been broken due to childishness and immaturity :)

Credits to and thank you, Harani Hussin for sharing your joy and laughter...

Obladi Oblada Live goes oooonnnn braaaaaaa laa la how life goes on!

:: d'Artagnan & the 3 Musketeers ::

Seriously, I think we should be named after the legends, d'Artagnan and the 3 musketeers.
You see, Fiza, Khair and Aiman used to be the 3 stooges, and somewhat "hated" me during my 1st few weeks in MMU Melaka...funny how things went, we're now inseparable. Thanks to Zul's wedding (nyeheheh) held today at Maktab Polis Diraja yg sangat jauh itu (sorry Zul!), we were re-united again...oh how we missed those days when we were just 18....I'm glad each one of us took the initiative to go all the way to the wedding! :) So yeah u guys, I believe we should give each other names now....since d'Artagnan was the "outsider" and the one being disliked at first, so i shall be him, hahahha...

E'en = d'Artagnan
Fiza = Athos
Khair = Porthos
Aiman = Aramis

COOL...... hahahhahahah

:: Balasan ::

And so my entries became a WORLDWIDE issue.
Let this be a lesson to YOU, not to post up SENSITIVE issues publicly on your blog, and plus not to always merendahkan org lain, mengutuk org lain dan kurang hormat pada org lain.

Mmg papa kate saye biadab ngan my posts, habis your behaviours smue tu tak biadab towards others? Before cursing me and judging me, look amongst yourselves first. Your status quo and wealth will not bring you any good anyway.

Therefore i conclude here that i shall only seek for a lifetime apology from my REAL parents, i.e. my Papa and Mami for my misbehaviour. I shall not give in to others that do not bring any significance to me, and I've made that CLEAR to MY PAPA.

:: Self-esteem rosak tepi jalan ::

Lately i feel less important to everyone.
Entah mengapa, i have no answer to that; not even the slightest thought why.

It's kinda funny how u feel so important to someone (or probably a few bunch of people), and at a blink of an eye, u feel superbly inferior......to like everyone around....*sigh....

I've predicted a lot of things wrongly these past few weeks, and I haven't got any clue as to what actually went wrong. It's like i'm living in complete oblivion. Sounds stupid? yeah maybe to u. I am stressed out feeling this way, moreover that my bloody birthday's coming at the end of the month and I'm running super low on cash. Argh! why do i have to grow up?!!!

This is just SHIT.
SHIT.
SHIT.
SHIT.

I think it's Chelsea, because Droggers has issues with Benitez's accusations (regardless of the truth la kan), therefore Droggers would probably wanna beat the hell out of his team.

:: Taik bin Pundek ::

How shitty is this.
Mom bought me an ORIGINAL Ms Office. Unfortunately, it's Basic.
And she ASSUMED that the bloody application software bundle would have AT LEAST all three; Ms Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Well, I won't blame her for assuming, coz I would too when it comes to BASIC!! And so before purchase, Mom asked, "Then what's the difference between Basic and Home version?" The sales lady replied with another question, "Erm, what u want to use for ah? study or office?"...Mom replied "Just for university studies, basic stuff". And so, Mom paid close to RM600 for that stupid bundle.

Mom got home, passed it to me, and I happily installed it. Then popped a super shitty statement "This version does not come with Ms Ppt, Access and Publisher. Only trial versions are provided with this bundle." Oh, I went berserk!!! I was bloody furious and started complaining endlessly! So the next day, Mom decided to go and maki the sales lady la, of course, for she had not explained PROPERLY what the fuck was the difference between the 2 versions kan! It seems the "Home" version yg ade those 3. Fuck u lady, F YOU!

But the bloody ass stupid b**** sales lady, who couldn't even speak English right, plus berlagak nak mati mcm tau smue bende, "Oh, mmg mcm tu...PPT only got trial."
Puki kau la only got trial. Cibai tu tetap cibai. Dah kate jual barang Original, have the courtesy to bloody explain habis2 la kat customers BODOH! Pastu nak tuka, die kate, "Cannot, u installed already, nothing we can do, because this one licensing maaaa". Fuck your maaa la taik!!!
U fucking pissed me off!

To my dear readers, kalau taknak jadi mangsa bangang jugak, be careful la bile nak pegi beli barang kat that stupid Mall kat Section 14 PJ k. Bloody useless! CIBAI. Kan dah banyak dosa aku.

:: Marriage. Is It THAT of BIG a Deal? ::

Why it is important to guys....
Maybe because :
  1. They're just in a "gatal" mode, wanting to just get in bed with the girl quickly, without anyone criticizing, and without "limitations".
  2. Their parents couldn't stop nagging because they're getting "OLD". Most of the time, parents can be really wrong about this, because to some, the older u are, the "yummier" u are. hik.
  3. The girlfriend couldn't wait any longer and "threatened" to leave if did not see the huge-ass diamond ring around her finger within N months/years.
  4. I believe it's time for me to have someone to take care of me, and give me some LOOOVEE! nyyeeehhh!

What it is important to girls...
Maybe because :

  1. Their age and wrinkies are shouting "Woman, u'd better get ur ass laid before these skins cover 'em holes!"
  2. "Baby, i think i'm pregnant. And we're both SUPER broke."
  3. "Dad, he'll be working overseas. I'm scared i'll lose him."
  4. "Oh SHIT. Dad's home!"
  5. Mom, dad...We've been going out for years, and so far, u've witnessed how we complemented each other. We're both emotionally, physically and financially well. May I ask for THE permission?" Awwww..... :)
  6. "Young lady, u've been stupendously oout of control, and I'm not gonna tolerate with this anymore! You're gonna obey my decisions!"
  7. "Mom, dad, I don't think u would be happy with what I had in mind, because he's someone's husband. Therefore I fled and done it."
  8. "Mom, he's FILTHY rich. U would wanna see me happy, right? And have him make u happy too?"

You see, I could be wrong, but these are the cases that I've seen happen amongst my circle of network. Guys, please do know this, the older u get, the wiser u are (usually, not ALL cases though!) and the more stable u are in terms of raising up a family well. That's why u see so many girls got caught up with older guys...sometimes girls are just frustrated with the young ones due their lack of judgements and poor behaviour. However, there are few young guys who could think and behave very well, and are willing to strive hard with u... And one more thing, sometimes you can't just be irritated with ur girlfriends for wanting to get married so much... Sometimes they're scared of losing someone they've given so much to, and sometimes also because they've reached that AGE, where it is wise to get married and have kids as to avoid having children with health complications.

There are therefore so many reasons when it comes to the big M. But are u with the right intentions?. Are u really ready with what ur gonna (or already have) committed to?.
Be wise with ur decisions...Let's not contribute to more broken marriage cases. Because it's hard, especially for the kids. Trust me, I've been through it, and seriously, I do not want my kids to ever go through it...EVER.

:: And so... ::

Your Keirsey Temperament Sorter Results indicate that your personality type is that of The GuardianTM.

All Guardians share the following core characteristics:

  • Guardians pride themselves on being dependable, helpful, and hard-working.
  • Guardians make loyal mates, responsible parents, and stabilizing leaders.
  • Guardians tend to be dutiful, cautious, humble, and focused on credentials and traditions.
  • Guardians are concerned citizens who trust authority, join groups, seek security, prize gratitude, and dream of meting out justice.

Guardians are the cornerstone of society, for they are the temperament given to serving and preserving our most important social institutions. Guardians have natural talent in managing goods and services--from supervision to maintenance and supply--and they use all their skills to keep things running smoothly in their families, communities, schools, churches, hospitals, and businesses.

Guardians can have a lot of fun with their friends, but they are quite serious about their duties and responsibilities. Guardians take pride in being dependable and trustworthy; if there's a job to be done, they can be counted on to put their shoulder to the wheel. Guardians also believe in law and order, and sometimes worry that respect for authority, even a fundamental sense of right and wrong, is being lost. Perhaps this is why Guardians honor customs and traditions so strongly--they are familiar patterns that help bring stability to our modern, fast-paced world.

Practical and down-to-earth, Guardians believe in following the rules and cooperating with others. They are not very comfortable winging it or blazing new trails; working steadily within the system is the Guardian way, for in the long run loyalty, discipline, and teamwork get the job done right. Guardians are meticulous about schedules and have a sharp eye for proper procedures. They are cautious about change, even though they know that change can be healthy for an institution. Better to go slowly, they say, and look before you leap.

Guardians make up as much as 40 to 45 percent of the population, and a good thing, because they usually end up doing all the indispensable but thankless jobs the rest of us take for granted.

And me and the girls went gagao over it the minute we started our very own marathon as soon as we purchased the DVD copies in Penang, during our last trip on CNY! hehehehe....

And many thanks to my dear Faiza, whom had put up a link to the series' "official" Gossip Girl site.
I'm enjoying it! yeehawww...Gooooo Shifilintit!!!

:: Seindah kata, Indah lagi perbuatan ::

Of course, actions speak louder than words, but do they always?...

Actions are forever infinite, and words are becoming that too...now why such little difference?....
Admit it, humans are never satisfied with a definite state. One has the tendency to take a leap and close an eye for whatever that may befell after. Obviously it is the need for change...now,

why change??

Change, is it really inevitable? Or is it really us, making it so?
Truthfully, I've not been quite satisfied with the depth of effects upon the changes i've made in life. Yes, I'm human, therefore I need MORE. Call me ungrateful, I have my reasons, and valid ones too.

Today is my last day as a permanent academician at LUCT, and my contract as a part-timer there starts next week. Yes, alhamdulillah, so far, my rezeki has not "putus-ed"...The shocking decision was due to my lack of rest and concentration, which significantly compromised my used-to-be excellent grades for the past 2 semesters. Oh, what have I done....

I will therefore start concentrating on my assignments by tomorrow. I have 2, due this Friday. So, I'm screwed.

Shit.

Crap.

18th april marks my last day as a full-timer here. the week after changes my status quo.

:: Serabut - an update ::

ok, i don't wanna talk more about this. it stresses me out. benci. take a look at the picture beside... tadaaa told ya it'll be disastrous! :P

Last Friday, our faculty held a food carnival and we had food from 8 different countries, if i'm not mistaken! :P anyway, it was fun. my lovely students were very supportive. :)

ooooo i like everyone of 'em! hahahah..i even ate horse meat!!!! yiiikkkeeessss well, it's softer and easier to chew than beef, but salty.....uurrrgghhh.... but it was alright! horse meat, apparently, is the most famous ingredient in Kazakhstan..heheh hell yeah, i got to taste it..

i even got to taste tuna, flew from iran, and chicken curry, cooked using spices all the way from india...the mash potato by my dear French student, was also awesome! (that's just because i'm a fan of potatoes! hahahah)..the food from Nigeria was awful in smell, but tasted OK. hehe...nina almost vomitted. and she was, for a second, a walking tomato..hahahhha....

oh, the Bangladesh-ian food; it was everything about RICE...hahaha...they serve rice and curry for main dish, and rice+yoghurt+milk+sugar(i think) for dessert! it was ok, but kinda weird having rice in a sweet white sauce...ngeehhh!!!

overall, everything was just GREAT GREAT GREAT!

P/S: Looking forward to the telematch for my foundation students this March 17th! yeehaaww!!!

:: Serabut ::

Today had to be the day of my PMS...
I was soooo determined on drafting my 2nd assignment when suddenly AFTER lunch that I felt like having my lower abdomen cut open. sakit sangat sangat.
And so, i HAD to buzz emmy on the all-reliable, one and only chat room provided by the almighty Google, asking her to accompany me to the super-expensive kiosk upstairs to get chocolates. Yes, chocolates help with your PMS ladies, do try it.

After 2 hours of munching on Cadbury and gulping quite-hot (this is like hotter than suam ok! lecur lidah tak pasal2!) plain water, i managed to put half of the pain away :)...and I started blogging... haha, so much for doing my assignment aye?

Attached below is a snapshot of my "workstation". Looks kinda neat aye? Wait til Monday comes... haaaa then it'll look intolerable, i swear.

P/S: Check out the row of files. They're mine, and they keep me safe from Brandon stalking me all day...hahahahhah kidddiinnggg!

:: My tWo cEnTs ::

to think that we can own all the greatness and whatever-ness in the world, does sound a bit ridiculous don't u think?...

watched a movie, "the guardian" on my lovely flatscreen, provided by the one and only astro. the phrase that was repeated over and over again from the movie caught my attention and had me relating it to my surroundings and the inevitable agendas, be it past, current and/or future.

" Save the ones u can save, and learn to let go..."

The all handsome Ashton of course, asked again "How do u know of which ones to save? How do u decide on who lives and who doesn't?"

Good set of questions.

In life, it's more like save ur dignity, pride, MONEY, blablabla...
I believe every sane human being shouldn't be too hard on him/herself...achieve and grab what u can, don't over do it, because if u do, it'll turn around and "eat" u up...macam islam kate, "berhentilah makan sebelum kenyang"...sbb kalau makan sampai rase dah kenyang, baru nak stop, mmg high chances u'll have stomach discomfort, or worse, muntah balik....

everything has a limit.to what extent, i do not know for sure...differs from a person to the other.
i never knew a limit on patience. i kept telling people that there's a fine line between patience and stupidity, and i, myself have so many times, crossed-over to the S line...bersabar lebih2 sampai jadi lurus bendul, senang2 kene pijak kepale and kena tipu dek orang...now i'm no longer mad at people who did those to me, but superbly angry at myself for not realizing this matter a looonnggg time ago. well, i can't turn back time now can i?...

Life IS a bitch. but being a bitch in a bitchy life is just plain horrendous. very unpleasant scene.
what can we do to change this? what significance does it bring if we were able to amend it? does it even bother u, on living a life that ur not mostly contented with?

i think i wanna change the world. slowly, of course. and only to those who think that this world needs to change for the better.also to those who believe they could work with me, day and night. and only to those who don't easily pass judgments on people, especially people like me.

:: BoBbY cHaCoNeZ ::

listening to bubbly by colbie caillat...
today..yes today...

i realized that my life went haywire, unmanageable and indescribably pathetic because i've been so...serious, and strict on myself...for reasons that i've finally figured out...

my past.

the insecurities, and everything negative, were so heavily influenced by my denials, and the refusal to let go of things that weren't meant to be, mine.

Mohd. Khairul Nizam, this entry is specially dedicated to u..be it that u read it some time soon, or donkey years to come, i won't care...as long as u will get to this one day...

U have been so kind, devoted, honest, truthful, and everything that every girl wished for in a man...u possess them all. This sounds cheesy, i know...but i can never escape the truth, not this time...U've never left me worrying, or doubting your loyalty towards the relationship, even when we were 4,800 miles apart. Now that's what i call a miracle, to me, because i've always had bad histories on trust issues.

U see...since we met, everything falls into place, as if u've promised God to help me lead an inspiring life and be grateful of what i have, and what i've lost...The fact that YOU made everything goes perfectly, everytime, makes me feel like i was born PERFECT.

Call me crazy, but when that suddenly hits me after 23 years of living, i got scared...
Scared that this may be a lie...because it's too perfect...
Scared because this could be too temporary that I won't have the chance to even realize how lucky i am, let alone thanking you for crossing my path...
Also, scared that someone may just intrude when things get just a little bit rough, hence leading me to singlehood once more. Not that I hate being single, but of course, it's a preference to most human beings to have a life companion.

Thank you, Mohd. Khairul Nizam..i could never ask for more :)
